Home

A few months ago I was trying to decide what subject we could talk about for Family Home Evening.  The thought came to mind to talk about our ancestors, so I began thinking about my grandparents.  My mind rushed through a whirlwind of experiences and nostalgic feelings I resolved never to forget.  I became confident that I could summon a numerous list of experiences my kids would love to hear about their great grandparents, so my mind then turned from what I remember experiencing with them to what I knew about them.  I suddenly realized I was struggling to recall many basic details about their lives.  Details I was too young to have picked up on, not conscious enough to ask about, or too far removed to recall.  Simple details such as how they met, what they did for a living or how they joined the church. I wished the questions stopped there, but they seemed to continue, most questions remaining unanswered. My heart began to ache as I realized how little I knew about their lives.

So what is this blog all about?  This blog is an effort to ensure I never forget my grandparents.  This is my attempt to document what I remember, what I felt, and what I learned from them. This is my attempt to enlist each of you to share your experiences with, and memories of them.  To share photos, videos, letters, etc. that epitomize their personalities, quirks, talents, joys and trials.
